Microscopy in the National Guard

This talk will focus on what a Civil Support Team (CST) is in terms of its purpose and mission. The mobile Analytical Laboratory System (ALS) will be discussed to demonstrate its many capabilities. Furthermore, the talk will illustrate how the microscope is used to accomplish the CST mission.

Bio Sketch
1st LT James D Cash is the Science Officer for the 53rd Civil Support Team out of Indianapolis, IN. He has served in the Indiana Army National Guard for 16 years. During the first 13 years, he was a CBRNE Specialist before earning a commission and taking his current position. He has a Masters in Public Health from American Military University
